My dear sweet husband put a pot roast on this morning while I was at school teaching. He works in the oil field, 2 weeks on, 1 week off. He is finishing up a week off (which he actually took off for once) and has cooked dinner pretty much every night this week! It has been wonderful!
TGIT...huh? Yes, thats right, thank goodness its Thursday! NO SCHOOL tomorrow, well at least no little munchkins running around. We have a cleaning day, which my classroom really needs. These kids are about to drive me crazy. They are making their First Holy Communion on Sunday and so in preparation, we went to Reconciliation today. I was so embarrassed at their behavior in Church. But alas, nothing new there. I did have to laugh, though, when Father asked them how many persons are in the Trinity. He asked, "Four or six?" Well, he had some takers for both and then some were convinced there is only one person. I swear, these kiddos rarely listen! I could probably teach them just as well if I were mute. :)
Im off to the grocery store to pick up some goodies to go with the pot roast. Then we are taking it over to some friends' house. She doesnt feel the best, so we thought itd be nice to feed her and her husband, plus it makes dinner that much more fun.
"O my Jesus, forgive us our sins, save us from the fires of hell, and lead all souls to Heaven, especially those in most need of the Thy mercy. Amen"

My first post
I have been inspired by the many wonderful Catholic blogs I have come across recently to start my own blog. Not because I think I have something invaluable to offer the world, but because I truly like the idea of sharing my thoughts out here where maybe, just maybe, someone will read them and be inspired by the Truth in my words. Truth that comes not from me, but Truth that comes from the Holy Spirit.
A little bit about me...I am a 23 year old newly married mom-to-be. We are expecting our first blessing in October and we couldnt be happier! I am currently finishing up my first year of teaching 2nd grade at our Catholic school, which has been a very big challenge. I have my degree in secondary math education, and so, needless to say, it has been a stretch to teach these young minds. I suppose I do enjoy it most days, but there are also time where I dread going to work and come home exhausted and ready to quit. But alas, I am sure God is using and/or will use this experience to make me a better person. Not to mention all the grace I pray he will grant me for preparing these little ones for the Sacraments of Penance and Eucharist!
Well, I must end here for now...I am at this very moment in my classroom. Silent reading time is over and now it is time Social Studies. Ah, the exciting life of 2nd grade!
